🗓️Events

Add New Event

  • Go to Posts > Add New Post

  • Enter Event Name in the Title

  • Enter Event Start and End Date(optional) under the Event Details

  • Select Event under Categories

  • Set Featured Image

    • The featured image will be the main imaged displayed in the event listing page and will be shown at the top of each event page

  • Click on Visual Composer

  • Add Event description/text by clicking Pencil Icon(Edit Text Block) and using the side bar to add in desired content

  • Create Image Gallery

    • Go to Final Tiles Gallery > Add Gallery

    • Enter Gallery Name - it is best to use the same name as the related event

    • Enter gallery description(optional)

    • Click Next

    • Select Media Library and click Next

    • Set captions and titles as default and click Next

    • Select Masonry and click Next

    • Add relevant event images and click Save

    • You will be prompted with a shortcode, copy this value for adding into an event

  • Add Gallery to Event

    • Go to Posts > All Posts and click Edit with Visual Composer on the relevant event

    • Under the Event description/content, hover over gray + icon to Add Element

    • Select Text Box element

    • Paste shortcode from Final Tiles Gallery. You may find the shortcode by visiting Final Tiles Gallery and looking for relevant shortcode of image gallery that relates to the event

    • To Save, Click on Check mark and wait for successful saving prompt

    • Click on Options > Back to Wordpress to return to Wordpress

Edit Event

  • Event Details - key details of event

    • Go to All Posts and click Edit

    • Under the Edit Post page you can modify

      • Event Title

      • Event Dates

      • Featured Image

    • Once changes are complete, make sure to click on Update

  • Event Page - content of event post (includes image, texts, write-ups,etc)

    • Go to All Posts and click Edit with Visual Composer

    • The top portion will automatically be populated by the featured image, event title and event dates. To change these, please follow details under Edit Event - Event Details

    • To modify the event text, hover over the text and click the Pencil(Edit Text Block )

    • Utilize the side bar to modify text

      • To Save, Click on Check mark and wait for successful saving prompt

      • Click on Options > Back to Wordpress to return to Wordpress

  • Event Images - gallery of images for each event

    • Go to Final Tiles Gallery

    • Select the Gallery relevant to the event and click Edit

    • Under Images, you will see all images added to the gallery

      • Click on Add Images to add new images using the Image Gallery

      • Hover on an image and click the Pencil Icon to edit Image

      • Hover on an image and click the X to delete an image

      • Drag images around to rearrange them

    • Make sure to click Save gallery once changes are complete

Delete Event

An event can be deleted by either:

  • Clicking Trash under the Event Post

  • Selecting an Event Post and clicking Move to Trash

  • Selecting multiple Posts/Events under the Table of Posts, Choosing Move to Trash under the dropdown and clicking Apply

  • When deleting an event make sure to visit Final Tiles Gallery and delete any relevant image galleries but clicking Delete gallery
